Apologies for the late newsletter this week - we've had birthdays, an emergency, assessments, and two loooong days womaning a stall at an Expo this week! I'm hoping for a boring week ahead...

Changes to Blue Pumpkin Coyo Range and a bit on why we don't stock some products in a range

Blue Pumpkin have made changes to the Coyo range pricing and fill quantities, so please make note of how many are in the order you are placing. Some products come in twos, and some in threes. There is also a new flavour of ice cream (Cookies and Cream).

You will notice that we do not stock all the flavours of some products, including the Coyo range. This is because we have curated the product range we supply to include only products that we are certain do not contain harmful ingredients (to humans, pets or the planet). Many varieties of products contain "natural flavours", which are not regulated in Australia. "Natural flavour" mixtures can contain more than 100 different chemicals in addition to their original flavour source, including preservatives, solvents, and other substances, defined as “incidental additives”, which can come from natural or synthetic sources and do not have to be declared by the manufacturer. As long as the original flavouring source comes from plant or animal material, it’s classified as a "natural flavour".

Every product in our range has been curated before being added to the Hub. If you are unsure about the ingredients of a product you have purchased, please get in touch. Ingredients lists do change from time to time, and we are never notified of the change. We do our best to keep abreast of changes, but with 4,000 products on our lists, it is impossible to constantly keep track of all changes.

We have our usual fortnightly orders open this week. And remember we have a whole lot of new items in Fills, including cheese, drink bottles, chocolate bars, hand-baked bites, seeds, shampoo and conditioner, and a new set of meal bases from Mingle.

Orders Permanently Open

A reminder that the following orders are always open and available for purchase (links open order page):

• Cheeky Monkey - Heat bags made from 100% cotton fabric and thread, with removable, washable covers. They contain corn instead of wheat, making them suitable for people with wheat allergies. You can read more about them on the product pages;

• Tomato Condiment Fundraiser - this will be open until the products run out.

• Olive and Bee Intimate Cream - recommended by one of our members who has been using it for a couple of years. It has uses as a moisturiser and massage oil as well as a personal lubricant. It has two ingredients - olive oil and beeswax - and is Australian made and owned by a small business. We have some tester tubes coming soon. You can read more about it on the product page;

• There are always items available in Fills. Fills are important because they let us buy items in bulk (by the carton) so we can continue to get big discounts, but items do need to keep moving through there to keep us financially viable 🙂 So if you need anything, or want to treat yourself to something (there’s always cheese!) head over and check out Fills.

• Eggs - certified pastured, free range eggs, fresh from Thriving Foods Farm, an organic regenerative farm in Koo Wee Rup; and

• Blue Pumpkin - different brands of organic fridge, freezer and pantry items, including frozen fruit and vegetables, Meredith Dairy sheep and goat yoghurt and cheeses, Coyo coconut yoghurt and ice cream, sugar free organic dairy yoghurt, cheeses, Byron Bay Gourmet Pies, Bio-Grape range and many more.
