We have some monthly orders open this week, as well as our usual fortnightly orders.

We have two new product lines added to the Unique Health Products order. The Nelson Naturals line of zero waste toothpaste and toothpaste tablets are fantastic. I have been using them for the last two months to try them out, and they are very effective. The jars are small, so they don’t take up much space, and you only need to use a very small amount of paste. I used to make our toothpaste, and occasionally still do, but this is a fantastic alternative when I am time-poor!

The other new product line is the Berkelo pasta range. They have five varieties. There are ancient grain varieties (Khorasan and Emmer), as well as a spelt variety. Their pasta is long-fermented sourdough, made in Australia and packaged in compostable packaging. One of our members trialled it last month for us, and she said it was very good.

Also, a reminder that the Unique Health Products order has about 2,000 products in it, and many of them make excellent Christmas gifts. Some ideas include ‘Gift of seeds’ packs, eye masks, reusable cutlery sets in designer carry tins, drink bottles, lunchboxes, tumblers, travel coffee cups, books, chocolates and much more.

Blue Pumpkin is also a great place to buy food gifts - chocolate, cheeses, interesting sauces and vinegars, and more.

Orders Permanently Open

A reminder that the following orders are always open and available for purchase:

• Mango Fundraiser - this will be permanently open until mid to late October. More information can be found in the 2nd September Newsletter.

• Cheeky Monkey - Heat bags made from 100% cotton fabric and thread, with removable, washable covers. They contain corn instead of wheat, making them suitable for people with wheat allergies. You can read more about them on the product pages;

• Olive and Bee Intimate Cream - recommended by one of our members who has been using it for a couple of years. It has uses as a moisturiser and massage oil as well as a personal lubricant. It has two ingredients - olive oil and beeswax - and is Australian made and owned by a small business. We have some tester tubes coming soon. You can read more about it on the product page;

• There are always items available in Fills. Fills are important because they let us buy items in bulk (by the carton) so we can continue to get big discounts, but items do need to keep moving through there to keep us financially viable 🙂 So if you need anything, or want to treat yourself to something (there’s always cheese!) head over and check out Fills.

Orders Currently Open

The following orders are currently open (links open each order page):

• Bass River Dairies - amazing milk, bottled on the farm, and artisan cheeses, made on the farm;

• Eggs - certified pastured, free range eggs, fresh from Thriving Foods Farm, an organic regenerative farm in Koo Wee Rup;

• Blue Pumpkin - different brands of organic fridge, freezer and pantry items, including frozen fruit and vegetables, Meredith Dairy sheep and goat yoghurt and cheeses, Coyo coconut yoghurt and ice cream, sugar free organic dairy yoghurt, cheeses, Byron Bay Gourmet Pies, Bio-Grape range and many more;

• Unique Health Products - a wide range of organic food and non-food items. The range includes many items that make great gifts (see the "gift ideas" filter in the order page), and also many items that reduce waste, including cling wrap made from sugar cane, compostable rubbish bags, silicone baking mats and freezer bags, travel mugs, stainless steel lunchboxes and so on;

• Kin Kin Naturals - highly effective laundry and dishwashing detergents and powders containing no nasties, made in Queensland by a small family business; and

• Olive Green Organics - sustainable fish in glass jars and BPA-free cans, and organic gluten free pasta.

Olive Green Organics is subject to fills, which we will do once the order has closed.

Temporary Change to Bass River Dairy Order

A reminder that the Bass River Dairy order will be open fortnightly for the foreseeable future. It opens in the same week as the other dairy and fridge/freezer goods supplier (Blue Pumpkin). It is open this week.
